Hello everyone,  I am overjoyed to be here. Here is a little bit about myself…

My journey into education began with a profound realization after my studies for a BA Hons in Law at U.W.E in Bristol, England. It was then that I discovered my true passion lay in the field of education. This revelation led me to deepen my understanding by obtaining a TEFL certificate at the London Academy, followed by a Diploma in Early Childhood Studies before gaining a PGCEi at the University of Nottingham, England, and more recently, a NPQSL with Best Practice Network, U.K. These experiences have shaped me into the educator I am today, constantly seeking engaging new ways to inspire and support students.

My love for travel has also played a significant role in shaping my journey. Since 2011, I have divided my time between England and Tanzania, drawn to the beauty and vibrancy of East Africa. Before joining the ‘jungle school’, I worked as a private tutor and an Early Years and Primary teacher at private schools including Braeburn Dar-Es-Salaam International School, and later at Braeburn International School Arusha. At Braeburn Group of Schools, I was fortunate to work alongside incredible mentors who have influenced my teaching philosophy profoundly.

Outside of the classroom, I find joy in various hobbies such as listening to music, dancing, yoga, taking leisurely walks, and indulging in novels—my current favorite being ‘The Rice Mother’ by Rani Manicka. If you also enjoy a good novel, please do share your favorite(s) when you see me!

Now, I find myself embarking on a new adventure here in Indonesia with my family, feeling warmly welcomed into this serene community. I am eager to immerse myself in the rich culture of Indonesia and to grow alongside the students of SBB. Teaching young learners brings me immense fulfillment, and I am excited about the endless possibilities that await us both inside and outside our learning environment.

I look forward to getting to know each of you and contributing to the nurturing and development of our students, alongside incredible staff and supportive parents here at SBB.
