My name is Sanjana Berry and I am from India. My journey of being an educator began five years ago as a Fellow at Teach for India (TFI). My unique experience at TFI built the foundation for my passion and interest in education. I decided to pursue a career in it and went on to join an international school in Mumbai, India. I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai and am a certified and licensed teacher from TEACH-NOW Graduate School of Education, U.S. I am thrilled and humbled to be taking my first step in international education at Sekolah Buin Batu as an IB MYP English Language Acquisition teacher and look forward to all the beautiful adventures the school and Indonesia have in store for me. Yoga, animals, books, travel, the sea, sunsets, photography – are a few of my favorite things. My philosophy of education is ever-evolving, but a constant theme is that I see myself as a facilitator to help my students find a balance between their intelligence, emotional and adaptability quotients and connect more deeply with themselves and the world around them.
