Michael Kenneth Lewis

Greetings, my name is Mike Lewis and it is my honor to serve as the year 3 homeroom co-teacher here at SBB. I am originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and have proudly dedicated over twelve years of my life to the field of primary/junior education. I hold a Master of Education with a focus in educational leadership studies from Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada, and a Bachelor of Education from Niagara University, Ontario, Canada. Prior to that, I earned a Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Community Studies from Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia, Canada. As a lifelong learner, I am currently completing my Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University, online. I am also a husband and father to one and we are looking forward to becoming more involved in the community. As a passionate and experienced educator, my goal has always been to provide high-quality, diverse, and inclusive, learning platforms where students can thrive not only academically but also socially and emotionally. I am deeply grateful to be working in such a wonderful school and to be part of such an incredible community. I love engaging in outdoor activities such as golf and have been an avid hockey player since the age of four. I also have a great love for various international cuisines and have been fortunate enough to travel to over thirty countries and live and work in four world regions. I am excited to grow alongside the SBB family and school community as we strive to create a meaningful and high-quality learning experience that fosters the development of global citizens.
