Hi, I come from Geneva, Switzerland. I am very excited to join Sekolah Buin Batu as Year 1 co-teacher. I have a Master’s Degree in Education and more than 15 years experience teaching lower and upper primary school.
I started my career as a homeroom teacher in different schools with various backgrounds. In 2016, I left Switzerland and travelled with my wife across Indonesia by motorbike for two years. This trip, initially motivated by my passion for surfing, nature and the quest for adventure, evolved into a reconstructed view of the world that brought me to address different environmental issues. At that time, I set up an educational project to build awareness towards the reduction of plastic pollution with the local young surfing community from Jelenga, a small Indonesian village in west Sumbawa.
I worked at the Green School Bali in various roles such as Grade 4 homeroom teacher, project coordinator, learning support teacher, swimming and gymnastic teacher, and languages teacher.
I have two children both born in Bali. I am passionate about raising my two children and being a good father and husband. Outside of school, I practice several sports: football, tennis, snowboarding, surfing and free-diving. I love reading, playing piano and guitar.
