My name is Friska Mahdalena Girsang, but you can call me Friska. Teaching isn’t just a job to me—it’s my greatest source of joy and passion in life.
I’m honored to teach MYP Standard/Extended Mathematics (Year 6, 7, 8, and 9) at Sekolah Buin Batu.
My journey in education has been quite different from my academic background. Following the completion of my Bachelor’s degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta in 2007, I embarked on a professional journey. I had the privilege to work at PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk in Palembang and later at PT Pertamina (Persero) in Jakarta, where I specialized in Investor Relations. While working, in 2010, I made the decision to pursue further education and obtained my MBA from Universitas Gadjah Mada in Jakarta and Yogyakarta.
In teaching in Sekolah Buin Batu, I strive to cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and motivated to succeed. I am grateful to be surrounded by amazing students and fellow educators who support my vision for an enriching learning environment.
